For the first time this year, I photographed a Communion. As the day of a Communion is busy, with the church ceremony followed by a festive afternoon with family & friends, we decided it would be a good idea to have a Portrait Session with Emma, a few weeks before the actual day. We had the pleasure of being able to use a friends house for the session – which was a lovely, calm & warm environment – on a rather chilly March day! We had lots of time to capture Emma in her lovely outfit.

The day itself started very early, with a visit to the hairdressers followed by a procession of all the children taking part in the Communion service.

After the church service, we headed to a restaurant to carry on the celebrations with family & friends. Again lots of details to be captured of the day from the table, to the flowers, decorations and of course the food.
A lovely day was had by all, with plenty of opportunity for photography- and it was nicely rounded off with sunny and very warm weather!
Merci à Emma & à ses parents !

love, Claire
